Cutting edge designs, eruption of colors, twirls and whirls in measured beats and dramatic performances; that’s how recent IWP Melange 2016 demonstrated perfect ‘blend of art’ at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
On the eve of November 26, 2016, International Women Polytechnic celebrated annual festival- ‘Melange- the Blend of Art 2016’. The ceremony commenced with lamp lighting and then followed by devotional vandana.

The Melange induced to give students plentitude of information demonstrating contemporary professional arena for fashion and lifestyle. Girls of IWP showcased their fashion capabilities and innovations before the active professionals presented in the ceremony.
Various budding artists of IWP presented stunning fashion event with exceptional collection of style, fabrics and colors which were completely crafted by them. The fashion events reconciled with various conventional and contemporary themes, for instance, they were blended Indian and Western clothing to form Indo-western styles.
Appreciating the enthusiastic minds, chief guest Meenakshi Lekhi said, “The occasion is a blend of passion, knowledge and way to information need to navigate education in dynamic industry.” “The Melange gives an interactive stage where they can find professional who can mentor them for their future,” she added.
Additionally, Mr. Vishal Nijhawan, Managing Director, IWP shared his perception about the patriarchal society and how his institution fighting against it. Mr. Nijhawan also put his concern to empower women in our country.
Beside the chief guest, there were other prominent personalities, namely- Ms. Varsha Sharma(Dy. Commissioner of Police), Ms. Parvathy Omankuttan (former Miss India Winner & Miss World Runner UP), Ms. Liza Varma (former Miss. India & Leading fashion Choreographer), Ms. Ila Kumar Valia (Consultant – Fashion & Lifestyle), Ms. Swareena Singh Sirohi (Miss India Finalist), Ms Lotty Allaire (A TV commentator, Theater artist and a movie actor), Ms. Seitu Kumar Aneja (Miss India Finalist and famous stylist), encouraged and decorated the students with many awards.
Heena Chopra crowned with the coveted title of Miss IWP, Vinita Rathi was the first runner-up followed by Simran Kaur as second runner-up.
